File Formats



GIF - Used when wanting to upload a short animation.
JPEG - Used to compress a file so that it is in a small size that can be uploaded.
PNG - Similar to JPEG, except it allows for a transparent background.
PSD - Used to keep layers and actual file size for editing later, cannot be uploaded.
TIF - Used to save a file without any compression whatsoever and can be easily opened unlike a PSD which requires the correct software.

1. Repetition: I re-imagined my music video promotional image to incorporate repetition. I was inspired by Kanye West's album artwork for his Life of Pablo album (image below). 2. Space: My second re-design of my music video promotional image implemented the use of space. My inspiration for this is from the PlayStation video game called Final Fantasy VII (image below). 3. Contrast: My final re-design of the music video promotional image was to make the colours contrast. I wanted to keep the colour yellow so I switched out the red I used for purple (the contrasting colour of yellow).
