App Title: FotoShare
A) Purpose:
The purpose is to have artists get their art critiqued easily and anonymously by other users on the platform. It will be presented as an app which first asks people to follow other users so that their art will appear on their screen and the user can either swipe left or right on the image depending on whether they like the photo or not. Users can also leave feedback either privately or publicly.
B) Form:
I want the app to be presented with a simple clean design, utilising very simple colours as I want the images that the users upload to stand out. I do not want the users critiquing the artwork to see whether people like or dislike the image so that they can form their own opinion. They can however see comments from other users if they decide to make them public. The user who uploaded the image can choose to reply to both public and private feedback.
C) Target Audience:
The target audience for this app would be aspiring artists and anybody interested in looking at art. They can be of either sex but will most likely be around the ages of 14-30. The closest social media app to mine would be Instagram. Instagram currently has a user base of around 1 billion active monthly users which could mean that these users could also be attracted to mine. The differences between my app and Instagram would be that mine is much more focused on artwork and it will be much easier to receive feedback from other users. This means that the users on Instagram who follow mostly art account may be interested in my social media platform.
D) Mock Up:
App Title: Study Buddies
A) Purpose:
The purpose of this social media is to group users into similar subjects that they study and they can talk about what they think of their subjects and also receive help from peers. Users are asked to input every subject that they study when creating a new account. They will then be placed into a group (approx. 12 users) who all take the same subject, they can then chat about their thoughts on the subject and assist one another. Users can hop out of groups at any time and are instantly placed in a new group filled with different users.
B) Form:
I want the app to have a very simple and clean layout much like a lot of popular social media messaging apps, such as Facebook Messenger. I would like for users who are in the groups to be able to add each other as friends so that they can message with each other independently. I would also like for users to be able to customise simple things such as the background of the app so that it can feel more personalised.
C) Target Audience:
The target audience of this social media will be teenagers and young adults who are in full or part time education. Currently there are around 2,318,000 students of differing levels in the UK alone. These are all people who could potentially be interested in this app to form new relationships with people who perhaps have similar interests or to give and receive help from other students.

A) Purpose:
The purpose is to allow users to bond over the music that they listen to and find common interests. On the home page of the social media website it asks its users to search for an artist, album etc. afterward a list of different groups will come up either listening to an album or playlist. During the playing users can comment on what parts of the music they appreciate and what parts they dislike. If using the app, users can close their phone and continue listening to the music.
B) Form:
I want the presentation of this social media platform to look clean and simple. I want to use variations of orange throughout the website but also use white and black for most of the design. Once a user joins a group I want the artwork for the album or single to appear with the title, artist and runtime underneath. I want the comments from other users to appear out of the way but yet still noticeable for users who want to comment on the song. I want users to be able to add other users as friends and share music with each other.

The target audience of this app will most likely be teenagers and young adults who are interested in music and want to find people who enjoy the same music as them. They can be of either gender. Currently there are around 80 million paying subscribers on Spotify and there are around 36 million paying subscribers on Apple Music. These are people who could potentially be interested in my social media platform if they would like to easily have conversations with other users who have similar interests in music.
